Our Mission

The Tamaraneh Society for Community Development and Support exists to support the basic human needs development of Ro-Mano Village in Sierra Leone, West Africa, which was ravaged by civil war and is currently in the position of having to rebuild. The development work is focused on the education of children and youth and the basic health needs of the community.
Our society raises funds and collaborates with our partners in Sierra Leone to determine the needs of the community, provide initial funding for start-up/self-help and maintenance of basic education and health care and enable the community to reach some form of local sustainability of basic needs through local entrepreneurship.
Please have a look at the links on the right side of this page, or go through our archives to learn more about Memunatu’s dream and the work that is being done through Tamaraneh.
